Jesse Preston, Director of Enterprise Data Service at University Hospitals

Jesse Preston has been with University Hospitals Health System for the past 6 years, and currently serves as the Director of Enterprise Data Service. In this role, Jesse has responsibilities for enterprise-wide analytics, Enterprise Data Warehouse, system interoperability, and database administration. He has over 17 years of experience in healthcare IT in both vendor and provider roles. Jesse has worked for companies such as Craneware, Medical University of South Carolina, MedHost, McKesson, and University Hospitals Health System. Highlights in his current role include the transition from on-premises data warehousing platform to a modern cloud architecture, bringing forward real-time analytics, establishing a data governance program, and growing the maturity and use of data through self-service analytics. He is passionate about leading high functioning teams to innovative, data driven solutions. The Enterprise Data Services team has fundamentally changed the way UH has leveraged data to solve financial, research, operational, marketing, and healthcare problems.
