Fred Gutwirth has an extensive background when it comes to healthcare information technology. In his current role, Gutwirth is the IT director for clinical applications at University Hospitals Health Systems. Prior to this, he has held other roles within University Hospitals, including manager of IT clinical applications, and director of applications. He has also held project management positions at Allscripts. Gutwirth is a graduate of Kent State University with a degree in computer information systems, and he has previously sat on a panel about personal health records for the Northern Ohio Chapter of HIMSS yearly meeting.
